SCOTTISH INDOOR BOWLING ASSOCIATION ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING Bainfield Indoor Bowling Club Sunday 24th June, 2012
As per section 14a) of the Scottish Indoor Bowling Association constitution it is hereby noted that the Annual General Meeting of the Scottish Indoor Bowling Association will take place at Bainfield Indoor Bowling Club on Sunday 24th June 2012 starting at 12pm.
Each club in Full Membership of the SIBA is entitled to send one Male Delegate and one Female Delegate in addition to the Male and Female Council Member of that club, but voting is restricted to two votes per club. This shall be split as one vote to be cast by the Male Council Member and one vote to be cast by the Female Council Member.
The officers of the SIBA are expected to attend the Annual General Meeting but shall have no vote.
Honorary Life Members may attend the Annual General Meeting but can only vote when they are accredited representatives of their club.
Clubs in Restricted Membership, and representatives of Associate Members, will be entitled to send one representative to the Annual General Meeting but shall have no vote.
Notices of Motion for the Annual General Meeting must be in the hands of the Secretariat by no later than Saturday 26th May 2012.
All correspondence relating to the AGM will be sent to the SIBA Club Delegates by either E-Mail or Letter by Tuesday 5th June. It is the responsibility of the Club Delegates to inform their Club Secretary of the information supplied and to ascertain their clubs views on matters where a vote may be necessary.
Should an official club representative be unable to attend the Annual General Meeting then a proxy may be sent in his/her place, providing due notice in writing is sent by the club concerned to the Secretariat, to be with him not later than the appointed time for the start of the meeting. A proxy may vote, but may not accept any office on the Council.
Club Delegates are asked to find out the number of people who will be attending the AGM representing their Club and to inform the Secretariat as soon as possible.
A separate form accompanying this letter indicates the positions that are vacant for the incoming season and that all nominations for these positions should be received by no later than the 5th June. Any Council Member wishing to be elected for any of the positions can do so by sending a letter or e-mail to the SIBA Secretariat.
Following the untimely death of Ben Clunie, the position of Children and Vulnerable Adults Protection Officer is to be advertised through the SIBA Website and by E-Mail to all clubs. Applicants who wish to fulfil this role should contact the SIBA Secretariat as soon as possible. A CV outlining any personal qualifications to conduct this role should accompany any application.
